Optinvent Himax partnership

Himax Technologies, Inc. , a leading supplier and fabless manufacturer of display drivers and other semiconductor products, announced today that its subsidiary, Himax Display Inc., a leading manufacturer of LCOS Microdisplay panels, and Optinvent SA, a leading producer of the disruptive ORA Smart Glasses, will undertake an additional partnership to develop next generation augmented reality glasses that should be among the most technologically advanced products in the smart glass market.

Jordan Wu, President and Chief Executive Officer of Himax commented :

Wearable Tech LA

Optinvent presented the ORA-1 pre-production version at the Pasadena Convention center on July 17 for Wearable Tech LA (www.wearableechla.com). Optinvent CEO was also featured in a panel on Wearables and Entertainment and there was great press coverage of the event:

An exclusive event to meet the best of Hollywood, Music, Sports and Wearable Tech. This event featured athletes from the NBA and NFL, celebrities, TV personalities, and inspiring musicians not to mention a first look at emerging wearable computing and IoT startups. Top tier VCs, and large corporation were there too (e.g. Amazon, AT&T, Intel, Samsung, Qualcomm, adidas, Nike, Disney, etc…), plus leading wearable computing companies like Optinvent, Breathometer, Misfit, OMsignal, Avegant, NeuroSky, etc..). There was even a trainer wolf carrying a GoPro camera on stage! Thanks to Julien Blin and Loic Maestracci for making this such a fun event.
