Slim-Zoom Optics
Slim-Zoom is a patented technology that allows full HD (1080p) video capability for compact short throw distance front rear projectors. The low cost projection lens has very few optical elements for ease of manufacturing. The wide angle optics is based on molded plastic for low cost. A variant of this technology called "Slim-Chin" has already been produced in high volume.
In the past, the Optinvent team has developed a slim rear projection TV optical engine which was integrated into a final product by a major Japanese OEM. It allows a 61” diagonal picture with a depth of less than 10”. Distortion is at a very low 0.5% and minimum MTF across the field is at <30% with full HD (1080p) resolution.
