Optinvent's has extensive know-how in various fields of optics related to micro displays. Furthermore, the team has used optical simulation software such as Zemax and ASAP for more than 10 years.
Lens design
► Many years of experience in optical design of projection lens (especially wide angle based on catadioptric systems).
► Established relationships with world wide manufacturers.
Illumination systems
► 10 years of design expertise in backlight and 15 years in illumination.
► Experiences in LED and lamp-based illuminations systems for microdisplays.
► Experiences in LED-based backlights (collaboration with Osram) and in HDR backlights.
► Ability to create models for diffusers and DBEFs.
Polarization management
► Long term relationship with main manufacturers
► Good experience with Moxtek components.
► Excellent relationship with Colorlink.
► Expertise at simulating polarization ray tracing for LCOS, PBS and compensator.
► Characterization bench for passive and active polarization sensitive components (Quarter and half wave plate, compensator).
► Experience in polarization recovery systems (projection, DBEF).
